Mark your calendars – Village Elections will be held on Saturday, April 21. The Association is seeking volunteers to serve on the Election Committee in order to ensure that this day is a success. Any member of the Association that is eligible to vote in the next election is eligible to be on the Election Committee. Participation on this committee is a short-term commitment and is an opportunity to contribute to the community.

We would like to see more residents actively engaged in our village’s governance by voting in village elections and running for office. This year the Committee will be asked to evaluate the Association’s election process and examine methods for increasing participation. The committee is also responsible for ensuring that the Association’s By-laws are followed, coordinating a Candidates’ Forum, and ensuring that the polls are staffed on Election Day.

This year there will be two open positions on the Village’s Board of Directors. Nomination petitions for the open positions will be available at Claret Hall beginning March 1 and will be included in the March issue of The Villager. The nomination period is March 1 through 21.
